After Smart Lens Surgery, the eye number is fixed. You do not need to use glasses after Smart Lens Surgery.
Although smart lens surgery is not limited to cataract removal, it can also be applied to patients who want to get rid of high-prescription glasses and are not suitable for laser treatment.
There may be slight blurring of vision after the operation. Driving in these conditions is definitely not recommended. However, the vehicle can be used after 3 days.
Smart lens treatment can also be applied to patients who have previously undergone laser treatment but did not get the desired result. Because both treatments are applied to different parts of the eye. For this reason, having laser treatment has no effect on having smart lenses installed.
While laser treatment can be applied for refractive problems such as astigmatism, myopia and hyperopia, smart lenses can be applied both for the mentioned refractive problems and for cataract treatment. While it is necessary to be 18 years or older for laser treatment, it is recommended to be 40 years or older for smart lens operation.
The eye that is bandaged after the operation is opened the next day and visual activity begins immediately. Vision quality improves gradually within 1 month.
While it can be applied to patients over the age of 35 if the person’s eye disorder cannot be treated with laser, it is normally recommended for patients over the age of 40.

They can remain in the eye for life and are not changed unless necessary.
Smart lenses are not visible from the outside because they are not worn on the eye like contact lenses but are placed inside the eye. That’s why they can’t be colored.
Eye drops given to patients should be used regularly. You should not sleep face down in the first week. Additionally, eyes should be prevented from contacting water for the first 5 days. Patients should not skip their routine check-ups.
Smart lenses cannot be applied to diabetics and patients with retinal problems.
Multifocal intraocular lenses are used for cataract patients aged 40 and over.
