No-Touch PRK Laser Eye Treatment

The No-Touch PRK laser technique is a modern laser eye treatment applied without any contact with the surface of the eye. This method corrects refractive errors without touching the outer layer of the eye and is especially ideal for individuals with thin corneas.

Overview of Treatment

  • Suitable for individuals over the age of 18

  • Used to treat myopia, astigmatism, and mild hyperopia

  • Preferred for patients with thin corneas

  • Performed without any physical contact with the eye (No-Touch)

  • No flap is created, preserving corneal tissue

  • Lower risk for those with dry eyes

  • Ideal for individuals with active lifestyles such as soldiers, police officers, and athletes

How Is No-Touch PRK Laser Surgery Performed?

The No-Touch PRK method is performed entirely with laser, without any physical instruments touching the surface of the eye. The laser vaporizes the epithelial tissue on the surface of the cornea to correct refractive errors.

Anesthesia

Before the procedure, anesthesia is applied using eye drops. No pain is felt during the treatment.

Epithelium Removal

A laser beam gently vaporizes the epithelial layer on the corneal surface. This step is performed without any physical contact with the eye.

Corneal Reshaping

In the second phase, the laser reshapes the corneal tissue to correct the refractive error.

Healing Process

After the procedure, the cornea regenerates naturally. A protective contact lens is worn for a few days to allow the epithelial tissue to heal.
