SMILE PRO Laser Eye Treatment

SMILE PRO Laser Eye Treatment

SMILE Pro laser eye surgery is currently one of the most advanced and innovative methods for laser vision correction worldwide. This technique is known for its precision, reliability, and a significantly lower risk of complications compared to other traditional laser treatments.

Overview of Treatment

  • Suitable for individuals aged between 18 and 45.

  • Applicable only for the correction of myopia and astigmatism between -1 and -10 diopters.

  • Maximum correction may not always be achievable.

  • Not suitable for hyperopia (positive diopters).

  • Offers greater comfort compared to the IntraLASIK method.

  • Ideal for individuals involved in contact sports or those working in high-risk professions.

Brief Description of the SMILE Pro Method

  • Patient-Friendly: The SMILE Pro method ensures faster recovery and lower risk of complications due to a minimal incision.

  • Flap-Free Treatment: Unlike traditional methods, no flap is created during the procedure, eliminating the risk of displacement or shifting, which is typically associated with other flap-based laser treatments.

How Is SMILE Pro Laser Eye Surgery Performed?

In SMILE Pro, only a small opening of 2 to 4 millimeters is created in the cornea. Using a laser, a thin, disc-shaped tissue (lenticule) is created within the corneal layers. This lenticule is then extracted through the small incision.

Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is applied using eye drops before the procedure. This ensures that no pain is felt during the treatment.

Lenticule Creation
The surgeon uses a laser to create a thin lenticule within the corneal tissue and then makes a small incision in the cornea.

Lenticule Removal
The created lenticule is removed through the small incision. As a result, the cornea is reshaped, correcting the refractive error in the eye.
